Towers

Several towers are scattered along the coast of Gozo: Xewkija in Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi, Nadur and Qala.  These towers were built by the Knights of St. John to fortify the island from the enemies.

Ġgantija

This temple was built in the Bronze Age.  This is situated in Xagħra and is the most ancient temple in the world!

Cathedral

When Gozo was attacked, the Gozitans entered the Cathedral to refuge themselves from the enemies.  It is in Rabat and is seen from various parts of Gozo.

Old Washing House 'Għajn tal-Ħasselin'

When the Gozitans did not have the service of water in houses, they had to carry water and women washed their families' clothes in here.  One of these is in Triq ta' l-Għajn.

Dolmen and Menhir

When ancient people stopped building temples, they built Dolmen and Menhir.  Dolmens were used to burn dead people and bury their ash.  A Menhir is situated in Qala and a Dolmen is situated at Ta' Ċenċ in Sannat and at Ta' Blankas in Xewkija.

Cart Ruts

These ruts were used to carry carts within these ruts and are found in a large field of olive trees and at Ta' Blankas in Xewkija.

Forte Chambray

This fortification was built by the Knights of St. John to protect Gozitans.  It has a turret to keep watch.

Aqua dots

This are arcs built by the Knights of St. John to carry water from 'Għar Ilma' in Kerċem to the Cathedral.  They are seen at the outskirts of Rabat on the way to Għarb.
