In Gozo one can find Museums on several topics.

Cathedral

The Cathedral has the most number of Museums in Gozo.  There are the Museum of Archeology, Museum of Folklore, Natural Science Museum, and Old Prisons.

In the Old Prisons, one can see the walls of the cells and corridors in the old prison covered with graffiti. It is considered as the largest collection of historical graffiti in one single place on the Maltese Islands. The representations are often of ships, and date from different periods. There are also handprints, crosses, names, dates, games, and anthropomorphic figures etched into the limestone walls. Some inmates also appear to have scratched a tally of their length of stay behind bars. The graffiti are a fascinating, human insight into the lives of those incarcerated here.

The Museum illustrates the cultural history of the Island of Gozo from the prehistoric era to the early modern period. The exhibits come from various archaeological sites and are presented in a way that give the visitor a chronological view of the time span covered.  The upper floor houses exhibits from the historical Phoenician, Roman, Medieval and Knights' periods. The collection includes jewellery, coins, marble statues, oil lamps and funerary objects.  The ground floor covers the Neolithic Period, the Temple Period and the Bronze Age
